Description & Model Info | Module Info | Current Version(s) | Change Log

Plume Rise StepDescription

The WRAP Plume Rise Module uses a formulation from the 2002 Western Regional Air Partnership (WRAP) Emission Inventory Report to generate vertical plume profiles.  The plume profiles are a function of fire size, total fuel loading, and a diurnal buoyancy profile.

Notes:

A fuel loading normalization factor is specified as 13.8 for wildfires and wildland use fires, and 5.0 for other fire types.

Maximum plume tops and plume bottoms are a function of 5 pre-defined fire size classes.
